Ein näherer, wenn auch uninteressanterer Weg wäre übrigens, zum Faro Maspalomas zu fahren. Das geht entweder mit dem Taxi oder mit dem Shuttlebus, den viele Hotels anbieten. Von hier aus läufst du in etwa 10 Minuten am Wasser entlang zum schwulen Strand. Davor ist ein Stück Strand für alle, die lieber im Sand liegen. Und natürlich gibt es noch den Kiosk Nr.

Als ich das letzte Mal in Playa del Ingles war, hatten übrigens alle anderen Kioske ebenfalls plötzlich eine Regenbogenfahne. Ich bin nicht sicher, ob es daran lag, dass Pride Woche war oder ob sie so ein Stück vom Kuchen schwuler Kunden abbekommen wollen. Lass dich jedenfalls nicht verwirren.

In der Hauptsaison rund um den Normalerweise kannst du dir aber Zeit lassen. Das Meer ist ideal zum Schwimmen und manchmal gibt es hier wirklich tolle Wellen. Aber wenn du nicht besonders kälteempfindlich bist, kannst du hier ganzjährig baden. Noch ein Tipp, wenn es sehr windig ist: Ein Platz direkt neben den Schutzstoffplanen, die aufgespannt werden, bringt dir wirklich sehr viel Abhilfe gegen den herumfliegenden Sand. Niemand achtet darauf, ob du direkt vom Strand kommst und noch voller Sand bist oder schon frisch gestylt und parfümiert.

Wenn du dagegen Party möchtest, erwarten dich Carmelo und Antonio in der sogenannten Strand-apo-Theke bei deutschen Schlagern und bester Stimmung auf ein oder mehrere Bierchen und den berühmten Orgasmus kanarischer Honigrum mit Sahne und Zimt. Die beiden haben die Strandapotheke von Margot übernommen, die vielen Schwulen noch in bester Erinnerung ist. Geplant wird auf Gran Canaria viel. Umgesetzt wurden solche Vorhaben jedoch bisher nie.

I found the capital city in the north rather dissapointing and trying to actually locate any of the listed gay bars there proved difficult they don't seem to display the flag in the city. Car hire is cheap and the roads, although twisty and narrow in places, are good and well signposted.

A good, toll free, motorway runs from the north to south of the island, passing the airport. I'm returning to the area for Christmas , my 3rd time this year and will be staying at the same place as my last visit: Beach Boys Resort, Maspalomas. It's not in the Trip Advisor reportiore so I can't write an actual review for it however if like me you're a gay traveller looking for clean, comfortable, friendly, well managed, gay male only accommodation that is aonly a genuine 15min max.
