Or for Marbella, go 7 stops on the train to Fuengirola and then get the bus direct every hour or local bus more frequently. The bus station is very close up the train station in Fuengirola. My favourite day out was train to Fuengirola and then local bus three every hour up the mountain to Mijas. For us, this was the perfect apartment in the perfect location. Thank you so much, Maria :. This apartment is spacious, bright, exceptionally clean, well-appointed, and very well-located. The host is deservedly classified as a "superhost"; her rapidity in responding and the detail and accuracy of help she offered really contributed to us having a great holiday.

The apartment is in a complex full of ordinary families, so you can expect some normal family noise from children, etc. As such, it is not especially suited to people looking for a raucous time.

If, however, you want a relaxing break, I couldn't recommend the apartment and the host more enthusiastically. There's a huge supermarket a few minutes away, a great coffee place for the morning right around the corner, a couple of charming local food establishments just down the hill and it is a very pleasant walk down to La Carihuela beachfront.

The train station - Montemar Alto - is minutes away. The standout feature is the expansive balcony, which is a real treasure.

Maria made every effort to ensure that our group - two older people, my wife and I, our baby - had a perfect holiday. If we return to the Costa del Sol, we would return here, without a doubt. The appartament itself is big, very clean and has a huge and wonderful terrace where we enjoyed the sun. Having two seperate bathrooms is also very comfortable. The location is very good, there is a Mall 7 minutes walking, the appartment is near the train stop to the city centre and 15 min walking to the beach and all the restaurants seafront : I very much recommend staying here, this is a 5 stars AirBnb.

Complex is also good with a pool, free comfortable sun chairs, garden area and plants. There is a restaurant also which has live entertainment, generally singing, sing-alongs twice a week. The apartment was exceptionally clean which a pretty little outdoor front space with plants and comfortable chairs, only Spanish and German channels on the TV and note no wifi but a nice place to relax if you provide your own entertainment.

The balcony is big with a view over beautifully kept gardens and a swimming pool, but it is not noisy. The pool bar is very good value for drinks and food. The food was surprisingly good for such an establishment and the staff are efficient and friendly. The apartment is adequate for 2 people. The balcony is large and we spent most of the day on it. La Carihuela is well known to us but we have never stayed at this resort. It was extremely clean with loads of towels and nice quality sun beds. The bathroom is large and with a good shower. Pilar kept amazing contact with us and we would definitely consider staying there again.

Everything you need is very close walking distance, nothing more you could ask for! A lovely apartment on a great complex in a great location. Pilar was a perfect host answering any questions very quickly. The apartment was very spacious and had a large balcony. I would highly recommend La Carihuela and staying at Pilar's place. Look forward to returning very soon. Pilar's apartment is comfortable and very clean. It comes fully equipped with washing machine and iron. There is an oven, microwave and two ring hob. The terrace overlooks a well kept garden and the bar in the complex is screened by mature trees.

You can see the swimming pool but there is very little noise to disturb you. The bar provides good meals at a very reasonable cost and occasional entertainment. Pilar herself is charming and helpful. She met us at the gate of the complex and explained everything clearly.

We had absolutely no problems during our stay and would love to return. Very impressed with Pilar's studio.
